Janvier, Sabin et Cie was a French manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

Lucien Picker founded the company in 1912 in Châtillon-sur-Bagneux . In the first year a racing car with the brand name Picker-Janvier was created . Janvier mainly manufactured engines, later also complete automobiles. He marketed the vehicles manufactured between 1921 and 1922 under the brand name Musurus . After a few years without automobile production, vehicles were again produced between 1926 and 1928, this time being marketed under the brand name Janvier . In addition to manufacturing its own automobiles, Janvier also supplied built- in engines to other automobile manufacturers.

This was a racing car that was used in car races on the Le Mans circuit in 1912 .

Brand name Musurus (1921–1922)

The Turk Musurus Bey was the client and namesake for these models. A four-cylinder engine provided the drive . The vehicles had a pointed radiator.

Brand name Janvier (1926–1928)

The company offered the four-cylinder models 11 CV with 1996 cm³ and 15 CV with 2983 cm³ displacement.

Built-in engines were supplied to the following automobile manufacturers: Anasagasti , Bergé , Best , Crespelle , De Bazelaire , KRC , SUP , Thomson and Tic-Tac .
