S. Sandford was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Malcolm Stuart Sandford (1889–1956) founded the company for the production of automobiles in Paris in 1922 . The brand name was Sandford . In 1925 the company moved to Levallois-Perret . Production ended in 1939.

Initially, three-wheelers were produced with the single wheel at the rear. These vehicles were similar to Morgan's three-wheelers . Water -cooled two- and four-cylinder engines from Ruby with displacements from 900 cm³ to 1100 cm³ provided the drive .

From 1935 the Morgan 4-4 was produced under license as a four-wheel alternative to the three-wheelers. From 1939 a Ruby engine was used.
