Automobiles Boitel was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Paris-based company began producing automobiles in 1938. The brand name was Boitel . Production ended in 1949.

From 1938 a small car with front-wheel drive was built under a license from DKW . The two-cylinder two - stroke engine had a displacement of 400 cm³ or 589 cm³ . Many parts were imported from Germany.

In October 1946 a revised model was shown at the Paris Motor Show . The engine was now mounted in the stern. 1948 followed by a model with a built-in motor of DKW with 589 cc and 18 hp. The last model was the 3 CV from 1949 with 688 cc and 20 HP. The open body offered space for two people side by side. The length of the vehicle was 3.15 meters, the weight 350 kg.
