Aérocarène was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Christian Desbenoît and the engineer Bodu founded the company in Courbevoie in 1947 and began producing automobiles. The distribution took place under the brand name Aérocarène . Production ended in 1948.

The only model was the Aérocarène 700 . This was a small three-wheeled car with the single wheel on the back. A two-cylinder two - stroke engine with a displacement of 684 cm³ and an output of 23 hp , which was mounted in the rear, provided the drive. The maximum speed was given as 120 km / h. The little coupe had no doors. Instead, the front part of the body was pushed forward to allow entry and exit. With a wheelbase of 242.5 cm and a front track width of 152 cm, the vehicle was 343 cm long. The curb weight was given as 280 kg.
