Coste Engineering was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Jacques Coste has been working on prototypes since 1988. He founded the company on January 28, 1993. The location was at 58 Rue Ingres in Pineuilh . The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Coste . The company sold both complete vehicles and kits. On November 12, 2008 the company was dissolved.

The M 6 Turbo was the prototype . This was a coupe and resembled the Ferrari 330 P 4 . A tubular frame formed the basis. For driving a saw V6 engine of Renault , the optionally via a turbocharger disposal. The engine was mounted in the middle of the vehicle. In the production version, this model became the C 1 .

In 1996 the C 2 came onto the market. Its appearance no longer resembled the Ferrari model that much. The vehicle was powered by a four-cylinder Ford engine with a displacement of 2300 cc . The new price was lower than the C 1 .
