Alamagny

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alamagny was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

The engineer Marcel Alamagny from Paris , who previously worked for Renault , began developing a special automobile in 1946, which was presented at a trade fair in the spring of 1948. The vehicle had one front wheel, two driven wheels in the middle and one wheel in the back. The four-cylinder engine with 569 cm³ displacement and 13 hp came from the Simca 5 and was placed in the middle of the vehicle. Because of the position of the engine, the rear seat bench was installed behind the front seat bench against the direction of travel, so that those sitting in the back had to look out of the rear window, just like later with the Zündapp Janus . The front and rear sections of the body can be folded away for entry and exit. Overall, the vehicle looked symmetrical. The length was 3.42 meters, the width 1.60 meters and the height 1.32 meters. No vehicle was produced after 1948.
