Charles Mochet was a French manufacturer of automobiles and bicycles .

Company history

Charles Mochet founded the company in Puteaux in 1924 and began producing automobiles and bicycles. The brand name of the motor vehicles was initially CM . Automobile production initially ended in 1930. After Charles Mochet's death in 1934, his son Georges Mochet ran the company. After the end of the Second World War , automobiles were also produced again, this time under the brand name Mochet . Automobile production ended in 1958. In 1969 the company was dissolved.

The company manufactured cycle cars between 1924 and 1930 . A single - cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 350 cm³ provided the drive . The engine was mounted in the rear and drove the rear axle via a chain. The transmission had three gears. From 1929 an engine with a displacement of 142 cm³ was available.
