Établissement Malterre Frères was a French manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles .
Company history
The Paris-based company began producing motorcycles in 1920. The brand name was DS-Malterre , where the DS stood for Deblades & Sigrand . Production ended in 1958. Automobiles were also made between 1955 and 1956.

The first model was equipped with a single cylinder engine with 500 cm³ displacement and was produced until 1956. After the Second World War, two-stroke engines from AMC, Sachs and Ydral with a displacement of 123 to 248 cc were used.
Automobiles
1954 began the development of a small car . It was a three-wheeler with a closed coupé body. The built-in motors from Sotecma and Ydral with either 125 or 175 cm³ displacement developed 6 to 8 HP and drove the individual rear wheel via a chain. In 1958 the project was abandoned.
