Fredcar was a French car brand.
Brand history
Emmanuel Bonnet had had experience with fiberglass since the 1950s . In 1971 he started producing automobiles and kit cars in Vocance . The brand name was Fredcar . In 1985 he retired. His son-in-law Yves Reynaud continued production until 1993. Stricter approval regulations prevented further production. A total of 19 vehicles were built.
A book about the brand has been published in French.
vehicles
On offer were multi-purpose vehicles in the style of the Citroën Méhari . They were based on a chassis from Citroën , specifically from 2 CV , Dyane , Ami 6 and Ami 8 . Thus the vehicles had a two-cylinder engine . The structure was made of plastic . Doors with windows and a hardtop were optionally available.
