De Pontac was a French car brand.
Company history
Jacques de Pontac managed the Établissements SEPA company from Bordeaux . In 1955 he started with the development and 1957 with the production of automobiles. The brand name was De Pontac . Production ended in 1960.
vehicles
In 1955 and 1956, the company presented a coupé with a plastic body at the Paris Motor Show . The vehicle was based on the chassis of the Citroën 2CV , so it had front-wheel drive. An open two-seater followed later. There was a choice of a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 425 cm , another two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 500 cm³ and 26 hp , which was developed from the original Citroën engine, and a Panhard engine with a displacement of 850 cm³.
