Teilhol was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Raoul Teilhol founded the company in 1958 to produce automobiles for other manufacturers. Between 1970 and 1972 the company was Les Ateliers de Construction du Libradois et les Établissements Teilhol , based in Arlanc . In 1972 the name was changed to Teilhol Voiture Électrique (Société Établissements Teilhol) based in Ambert . Vehicles were only marketed as Teilhol from 1972 . From 1981 Teilhol SA was based in Courpière . In 1990 production ended when the company went into liquidation . Automobiles Page Penouty from 1990 to 1992 and Centuri Automobiles from Courpière from 1992 to 1993 tried to be the successor companies.

Teilhol produced the Rodéo for Renault . From 1972 onwards, small cars such as the Citadine were built , which, due to their small cubic capacity , could be used in France without a license. 1987 appeared as the first and only larger model of the Tangara , a recreational vehicle based on the Citroën 2CV .
