SARL Polycarters is a French company and a former manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Sorigny-based company began producing automobiles in 1970 under the management of G. de Tayrac. In October of the same year it presented vehicles at the Paris Motor Show . The brand name was Polycarters . Automobile production ended in 1972. The company is still active in the field of engine and turbine construction.

One model was a microcar . A Sachs engine with 50 cm³ displacement provided the drive . At that time, such vehicles could be driven in France without a license .

The other model was a type of beach wagon . The chassis of the Renault 4 formed the basis . The roof and doors could be removed. Several dozen copies were made.
