Sovra was a French car brand.

Company history

Michel Landois founded the Société de Vente et de Réparation Automobile company in 1968 . The location was at 23/25 Rue de la Gare in Corbeilles . In 1969 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Sovra . In 2001 the company went bankrupt . AABLM SARL , short for Auch Auto Buggy LM , from Castillon-Massas took over the company and continued production of a model until 2003.

vehicles

The first models were created on the chassis of the VW Beetle . The LM 1 was a VW buggy presented at the 1970 Paris Motor Show . It was available as the LM 1 L with the normal wheelbase and as the LM 1 C with a shortened wheelbase. The LM 2 was an open beach wagon and wedge-shaped body. In 1973 the LM 3 appeared . This was a station wagon coupe .

From 1985 the company converted closed vehicles into convertible sedans . The LM 4 was based on the Renault 5 . For the LM 5 , both the Peugeot 104 and the Citroën LN came into question. The last model was a conversion of the Renault 11 .

The LM 1 C was the only model that was produced until 2003.
