Sarap , short for Société Alsacienne de Recherches et d'Application des Plastiques , was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Sundhouse company began manufacturing automobiles in 1970. The brand name was Sarap . Production ended in 1979.

First the prototypes 671 and 691 were created . The first production model was the 701 . This was a coupe .

From 1974 the Buffalo was produced, which was previously produced by Automobiles Buffalo . This was a buggy . A tubular frame formed the basis. A plastic body was mounted on top. A four-cylinder engine from Renault , which was mounted in the rear, provided the drive . There was a choice of engines with a displacement of 1,100 cc and 43 hp and engines with a displacement of 1289 cm and 60 hp.
