Automobiles Autobleu was a French manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Maurice Mestivier and Roger Lepeytre founded the company. The location was at 15 Rue Aumont-Thiéville in the 17th arrondissement in Paris . The production of automobiles began in 1953. The brand name was Autobleu . Automobile production ended in 1958. The company continued to exist as a supplier and in the field of engine tuning . A vehicle that remained a prototype was presented again at the Geneva Motor Show in 1967 . The company existed until 1971.
vehicles
The company manufactured convertibles and coupes . Initially, the vehicles were built on the chassis of the Renault 4CV , later on that of the Renault Dauphine . The four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 845 cm³ developed 24 kW (32 hp) and was mounted in the rear.
The prototype GT from 1967 was a coupé based on the Peugeot 204 . Pietro Frua designed it.
A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Manoir de l'Automobile in Lohéac .
Racing
The only works racing car was designed for the 1954 Mille Miglia , the 750 MM model; powered by an engine revised by Porsche, the displacement of which was increased from 750 to 950 cm³ and developed around 51 kW. The aerospace engineer Marcel Riffard developed the streamlined body. The vehicle took part in the Mille Miglia in 1954 (piloted by Jean Bianchi) and 1955 as well as in the Reims 12-hour race in 1956 .
