JDM Automobiles was a French manufacturer of light vehicles based in Avrillé .

Company history

The company SA Simpa JDM began in 1981 with the production of automobiles . The brand name is JDM , the company traded as JDM Automobiles . Production took place for some time in the former Heuliez factory in Cerizay . According to the company, over 40,000 vehicles have been built so far. Bankruptcy proceedings were opened in July 2014, and the company went out of business on September 17, 2014.

The company produced light vehicles . In contrast to other small cars, in some countries the car can be driven with a moped driving license without a car driving license.

The previous models include 49 SL , 125 , Parthenon (from 1984), Nueva (from 1985), Furio (from 1987), X 5 (from 1988), Orane (from 1994), Madeira (from 1995), Titane (from 1997) and Albizia.
