Baja was a French automobile manufacturer .

Company history

The company Car Système 12 of Gérald Maillard and Patrick Faucher from Redon began producing automobiles in 1981. In 1986 production was stopped. The company still sells car accessories today.

Baja JP 4

The company manufactured open-top recreational vehicles in the style of the Renault Rodéo . The JP 4 was built on a used Renault 4 whose chassis was shortened by 27 cm. The JP 5 was only offered as a complete vehicle and was equipped with some parts from the Renault 5 . In both models, the rendered four-cylinder engine of 1108 cc displacement 34 PS . The JP 6 was based on the Renault 6 , its engine developed 45 hp.
