Fournier et Marcadier was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Marcel Fournier and André Marcadier founded the company in Lyon in 1963 and began producing racing cars. The brand name was Fournier-Marcadier . In 1967 the company moved to Mions . In the same year the production of road vehicles, which were also available as kit cars, began . In 1969 the two partners separated. Under the management of André Marcadier, Automobiles became Marcadier in 1970 . A total of around 110 vehicles were built.

Racing car

The Barquette FM was an open, two-seater racing car. The four-cylinder engine came from the Renault 8 and was mounted in the middle of the vehicle. The wheelbase was 227 cm. The seat of the building cost 6700 French francs in 1965 . Around 60 kits were made between 1963 and 1966.

Monoposto

The Monoplace ARAL from 1966 to 1969 was a single-seat racing car that was manufactured for what would later become Formule France . The engine, engine layout and wheelbase corresponded to the Barquette FM . The company made about 20 vehicles.

Road vehicles

The only model for the street was the Barzoi . This was a coupe with double doors on a tubular frame. The four-cylinder engine with 1000 cm³ to 1600 cm³ displacement was mounted in the middle of the vehicle and came from the Renault 8 Gordini. With a wheelbase of 227 cm and a track width of about 136 cm, the vehicles were 360 ​​cm long, 156 cm wide and 98 cm high. About 30 vehicles were built between 1967 and 1969.
