Établissements G. Poirier was a French company in the mobility aids sector and at times manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The Fondettes-based company began producing mobility aids and motor vehicles in 1928. The brand name was Poirier . Automobile production ended in 1958. In the 1980s it was taken over by Invacare .

vehicles

The vehicles were produced for the special requirements of the physically handicapped. Mostly it was a three-wheeler with the single wheel in front. The built-in engines with 98 cm³ to 125 cm³ cubic capacity were supplied by Peugeot , Sachs and Ydral , among others . The motors were mounted under the driver's seat and drove the rear wheels. There were both single-seaters and tandem two-seaters.
