The Société des Établissements Léon Paulet was a French manufacturer of automobiles . Other sources name the company name Société Mécanique du Rhône .
Company history
The Marseille company began producing automobiles in 1922 . The brand name was Paulet or Léon Paulet . The designer was Michelat, who previously worked for Delage . Production ended in 1925 after legal disputes with Hispano-Suiza , who complained about a prohibited replica of their engines. A total of 20 or 200 vehicles were built. Three vehicles have been preserved.

The vehicles were equipped with their own six-cylinder engine with OHC valve control. The displacement was initially 3446 cm³ from a 75 mm bore and 130 mm stroke . The engine was thus classified as 15 CV . In the following year, 80 mm bore and 130 mm stroke resulted in 3921 cm³ displacement, corresponding to 18 CV . This engine developed 80 hp . The wheelbase was 322 cm, the track 142 cm and the weight of the chassis 1050 kg. The vehicle length of 436 cm has been handed down for a vehicle that has survived.
