Sizaire Frères was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The brothers Maurice and Georges Sizaire, who ran Sizaire-Naudin and were also involved in Sizaire-Berwick , founded Sizaire Frères in Courbevoie in 1920 . Automobile production began in 1923. The brand name was Sizaire Frères . Paul Dupuy was also involved in the company. When Dupuy died in 1927, the company was renamed Société Nouvelle des Autos Sizaire and moved to Levallois-Perret . In July 1928 the company was renamed SA de Gèrance des Automobiles Sizaire . Production ended in 1929. From the first model alone, around 1150 vehicles were built. Georges Sizaire then headed the Belga Rise branch in Belgium.

Initially only the 4 RI model , also known as the 11 CV , was offered. A four-cylinder engine with OHC valve control with 1993 cm³ displacement , 50 hp and independent wheel suspension provided the drive . Around 900 vehicles of this model were built by 1927.

For model year 1928, the model followed Six with a valveless six-cylinder - valve engine of Willys-Overland with 2910 cc capacity. Around 150 of these vehicles were built.

The last model got the engine from the Hotchkiss AM 2 from Hotchkiss with 2413 cm³ displacement. Here the number was about 100 copies.

A vehicle of this brand is exhibited in the Louwman Collection in The Hague , The Netherlands .
