Sphinx Automobiles Établissements Perfecto , previously F. Terrier , was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The F. Terrier company from Courbevoie started producing automobiles in 1912. The brand name was Sphinx . Alternative brand names were Anglo-Sphinx and Sphinx-Globe between 1913 and 1916, Forster between 1920 and 1922 and again Anglo-Sphinx between 1922 and 1925. The designer was the Englishman JH Forster. Vehicles were also made for Globe between 1913 and 1916 . In 1920 it was renamed Sphinx Automobiles Établissements Perfecto and moved to Puteaux . Production ended in 1925.

There were cyclecars manufactured and small cars. A model 8/10 CV had a single cylinder engine with a displacement of 1038 cm³ . Another 8/10 CV model had a four-cylinder in - line engine with a displacement of 1130 cc. There was also a model with a V4 engine with a capacity of 1327 cc.

After 1920, models with a two - cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1400 cm³ and a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1323 cm³ were available.
