Marcel Caplet was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Marcel Caplet founded the company that bore his name in Le Havre in 1906 to manufacture built-in motors for boats . He marketed these engines as triplexes . In 1908 the production of automobiles began , which were marketed as Celtic . The brand name Caplet was also used between 1910 and 1912 . Production ended in 1913.

vehicles

The company made models with four-cylinder engines. From 1912, three models with 12 hp were available . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft .
