The Société Industrielle des Etablissements Automobiles "Sidéa" was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from Charleville-Mézières started producing automobiles in 1912. The brand name was Sidéa . In 1924 Léon Demeester, who previously managed Demeester and Jouffret at the same time , took over the company and changed the brand name to Sidéa-Jouffret . Production ended in 1925.

Before the First World War , there were five different four-cylinder models with built-in engines from Chapuis-Dornier from the 6 CV with 1300 cm³ displacement to the 14 CV with 2700 cm³ displacement. The gearboxes had three gears.

From 1922 to 1924 the range consisted of three models. In one model, a Fivet engine with 1496 cm³ displacement and side valves provided the drive. Another model had a SCAP engine with 1690 cm³ displacement and OHC valve control . A SCAP engine with a displacement of 1168 cm³ was also available.
