Fabriques d'Automobiles de St. Ouen was a French manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company from Saint-Éloy-les-Mines was founded in 1926 to manufacture automobiles. The brand name was Fasto . Production initially took place at the mechanical engineering company Établissements Audouard et Compagnie, Ateliers Mécaniques de Sainte-Éloy . After 16 vehicles had been completed, from the end of 1926 only the engine , transmission and rear axle were produced in Saint-Éloy, while the vehicles were completed in a plant in Saint-Ouen . Production ended in 1929.
vehicles
The first model A1 remained a prototype .
This was followed by the A 2 . Here a four-cylinder engine with side valves provided the drive. The engine delivered 25 HP from 1597 cm³ displacement .
In 1926 the C 1 appeared with a six-cylinder engine , which also had side valves. With the same dimensions for bore and stroke as the four-cylinder engine, the result was a displacement of 2396 cm³. A chassis from this model was exhibited at the Paris Motor Show in 1926 . Presumably this model remained a one-off.
1927 was followed by the A3 . A four-cylinder engine with OHV valve control , which developed 35 hp from a displacement of 1617 cm³, provided the drive. 100 vehicles were ordered.
The A4 was the last model. Except for the side valves, its engine corresponded to the engine of the A3 .
