CIME , short for Compagnie Industrielle des Moteurs à Explosion , was a French manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

The Fraisses-based company began producing engines in the 1920s, which were sold to numerous other automobile manufacturers. The brand name was CIME . Automobiles were also made in 1929. A total of around 20 vehicles were built. It is not known when the company was dissolved.

Engines

The company manufactured four and six cylinder engines. Customers were u. a. Able , ADK , Alphi , Antony , AS , AS , Bignan , Buc , Cottin & Desgouttes , De Cézac , Delfosse , Derby , DFP , Elgé , FD , GAR , Génestin , GM , Guilick , Harris-Léon Laisne , Hinstin , Jean Gras , Jouffret , Jousset , Lidköping , Madou , Marino , MASE , Messier , PM , Rally , SAS , Sigma , SPAG , Tuar and Turcat-Méry .

The only model was the A 2 . This was a small sports car. A four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1203 cm³ provided the drive .

A vehicle from this manufacturer is exhibited in the Auto Museum in Reims .
