Donnet-Contin was a French manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Jérôme Donnet founded SA des Automobiles Donnet-Zedel in 1924 and took over Zedel . Factories were located in Nanterre and Neuilly-sur-Seine . The brand name was initially Donnet-Zedel . As a result of the company's name being changed to SA for Automobiles Donnet , the brand name was changed to Donnet in 1928 . Production ended in December 1934. Henri Théodore Pigozzi took over the plant in Nanterre and founded Simca . Contin-Souza took over twelve completed vehicles as well as parts and machines, manufactured a few vehicles until 1936 and sold them under the old brand name Donnet .

Brand name Donnet-Zedel
From 1924 the four-cylinder models 7 CV Model G with a displacement of 1100 cm³ and one with a displacement of 2250 cm³ were manufactured in the former factory of Vinot & Deguingand .
In 1926, a six-cylinder model with a displacement of 2500 cm³ was presented, followed by smaller six-cylinder models with a displacement of 1300 cm³ and 1800 cm³.
Brand name Donnet
In 1931 the prototype of a six-cylinder model with front-wheel drive was created , which, however, did not go into series production.
In 1932 the small car was taken over by Deguingand , which had a four-cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 750 cm³.
Contin-Souza sold the twelve vehicles of the Donnastar model , which were built in 1934, in 1935. The company also produced a further developed version D 35 , which was similar to the Renault models at the time . Sales ran until 1936.
A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Musée Automobile Reims Champagne in Reims .
