P. Génestin was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Paul Génestin founded the company in Fourmies in 1919 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was Génestin . After the first 15 vehicles there was a longer break. Production resumed in 1925 after meeting Mr. Poyet from CIME . Production ended in 1929.

The first vehicles had a chassis from Malicet & Blin . Fivet provided the four-cylinder engine with side valves and 1,500 cc engine capacity . Bastien from the same place made the bodies .

From 1925 various models with different engines were available. The model Tourisme was with four different built-in motors available from CIME, the four-cylinder engine with 1100 cc displacement to the six-cylinder engine with 1681 cc capacity. Motors from SCAP were used in the Sport model . There were four-cylinder engines with 1084 cc and 1476 cc capacity, optionally also with the compressor , and a series - eight-cylinder engine with 1808 cc capacity.

At least two vehicles have been preserved. A vehicle from 1928 belongs to the collection of the Automobile Museum in Stainz.
