Établissements Malicet et Blin was a French manufacturer of automobiles and bicycles .

Company history

Paul Malicet and Eugène Blin founded the company in Aubervilliers in 1890 to manufacture bicycles. This was later followed by the manufacture of vehicle accessories and parts for automobiles such as chassis and steering gears. The company was one of the leaders in France in this field. Complete automobiles were also made between 1897 and 1903. The brand name was Malicet & Blin . The production of own automobiles was always low. The sale of accessories to other automobile manufacturers continued until 1925, partly under the name MAB.

Among other things, there were the models 4 CV , 6 CV and 8 CV with a single cylinder engine . A vehicle from 1903 with a built-in engine from De Dion-Bouton with 6 hp power in the body shape Tonneau has been preserved and occasionally takes part in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run . There is also a vis-à-vis from 1897 with 4 hp.

Accessories, especially chassis , were supplied to the following automobile manufacturers : Alatac , Bridgwater , CCC , Delage , Ernst , Excelsior , Eysink , Ivor , La Torpille , Lucerna , Marlborough , Mutel , Sigma , and Tuar .
