Automobiles Catala was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was Alatac , the manufacturer's ananym .
Company history
The company was based on Rue Ten-Bosch in Brussels and had factories in Braine-le-Comte . The production of automobiles began at the end of 1912. Production ended in 1914.
vehicles
The company offered two models with four-cylinder engines of Chapuis-Dornier on. These were the 9/12 CV with 1526 cm³ displacement and the 12/16 CV with 2297 cm³ displacement. The vehicles were based on chassis from Malicet & Blin . The engines were mounted in the front of the chassis and drove the rear axle. The vehicles were equipped with removable spoked wheels.
Sports activities
The vehicles were also used in car races. Etienne Catala took part in the Rallye d'Ostende in 1914 .
