De Cosmo
De Cosmo et Cie was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Liège . The brand name was De Cosmo .
Company history
The Italian Joseph De Cosmo , who had previously worked for the automobile manufacturers Gautier-Wehrlé , Delahaye and FN , founded the company in 1903 to produce cars under his own name. The vehicles were sold in Great Britain under the brand name Wilkinson-De Cosmo . Production ended in 1908. A licensed production took place until 1904 at Wilkinson Sword instead.

The first 24/30 CV and 30/35 CV models were equipped with a four-cylinder engine and cardan drive. In 1906 a six-cylinder model with chain drive was added, initially 40/50 CV , later called 45/55 CV , the engine of which had a displacement of 8275 cc . This model was together with the Minerva Type K 40 CV, which was also presented in 1906, the first six-cylinder vehicle from Belgium.
