Nagant Frères (Nagant Brothers) was a Belgian company.

Company history

The brothers Émile and Léon Nagant founded a precision engineering workshop in Liège in 1855 , which later became the arms factory "Fabrique d'Armes Em & L. Nagant" ( Nagant revolver ). At the end of the 19th century, production was expanded to include automobiles . After a prototype in 1896, the first model was built under license from the French Gobron-Brillié in 1900 , which is why it was also called Gobron-Nagant or Gobron-Brillié Belge . From 1904 own models were produced. In 1927 the company was taken over by the Belgian competitor Imperia .
