The Société des Automobiles Juwel was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Brussels . The brand name was Jewel .

Company history

In 1922 the company started producing cars. In 1927 it was renamed Usines Juwel, Construction des Automobiles SA . Production ended at the end of 1928.

vehicles

The first two models 6/8 HP and 8/10 HP had a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1131 cm³ . They only differed in the size of the bodies. Both models were available as sedans , open touring cars and delivery vans . In 1924 the successor model 9 HP appeared with the same engine. In December 1928, the prototype TA-4 was shown at the Brussels Salon . This model was front-wheel drive , but no longer went into series production.

The Société Astra Motors SA developed the front-wheel drive model further and brought it in 1929 as Astra on the market.
