Ateliers de Constructions Mécaniques Ch. Wilford et Fils was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Temse .

Company history

Charles Wilford founded the company in 1896 and began building cars in 1897. Production initially ended in 1901. In 1919 the import of vehicles from Willys-Overland began and in 1936 the assembly of these vehicles began.

The first model was inspired by the German Benz . It had a single cylinder engine in the rear and the body shape vis-à-vis . The 6 CV model with a two-cylinder front engine followed in 1899 as dos-à-dos . In 1900 the Dog-cart models followed, with a two-cylinder engine with an output of 7  hp , and a small three-seater Voiturette with an engine with an output of only 3 hp.

In 1956, Wilford produced the Trippel 750 under license .
