Société Anonyme Royal Star
The Société Anonyme Royal Star was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Berchem near Antwerp .
Company history
Monsieur Dodelinger founded the Compagnie des Constructions Mécaniques in 1902 for the production of motorcycles, automobiles and industrial engines . He chose the brand name Royal Star. It was later renamed Société Anonyme Royal Star . From 1907 the company was already producing 300 cars and 1500 motorcycles annually. In 1910, the Société Anversoise pour la Fabrication de Voitures Automobiles , or SAVA for short, took over the company.

In 1904 the first cars were produced with engines with either two or four cylinders. In 1907 the range of four-cylinder models consisted of the 11/12 CV with 1693 cm³ displacement , 17 CV with 3308 cm³ displacement, 20/22 CV with 3770 cm³ displacement, 23 CV with 4084 cm³ displacement and 25/35 CV with 4942 cm³ displacement. There were also the six-cylinder models 29 CV with 6126 cm³ displacement and 37 CV with 7412 cm³ displacement and the single-cylinder model 7 HP with 681 cm³ displacement, in which some parts came from De Dion-Bouton .
