L'Automobile was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Ixelles .

Company history

In March 1899, the company exhibited vehicles for the first time at a trade fair in Brussels . Production ended in 1902.

The vehicles presented in 1899 were an English Daimler , which only received its own wagonette body, two-seater small cars with 2.5 HP and 3 HP engines, and a Columbia electric car. In 1900 a voiturette was presented. In 1901 the La Torpille model came out. The three small versions 4 CV , 6 CV and 8 CV had a cardan drive, the large version 12 CV had a four-cylinder engine and chain drive. The engines came from De Dion-Bouton and Kelecom .
