Company history
The Liège-based company began producing automobiles in 1966 under the direction of Jacques d'Heur. At the end of 1971 the company was renamed Liberta Engineering SA . Production ended in 1974.

The company offered the vehicles with plastic bodies both pre-assembled and as kit cars.
Sonora 1000
The first model was an open two-seater with the chassis of the VW Beetle . The four-cylinder engines from Ford Anglia , Ford Cortina , NSU TT , Peugeot 404 and Renault 8 as well as the six-cylinder engine from the Ford Taunus with a displacement of 2000 cc were available . The top speed was specified as 185 km / h for the most powerful model.
Barquette
This was an open two-seater with a roll bar for racing.
Aquila
This model had a built-in motor of Ford , which was mounted in the rear.
Liberta Funcar
This model was made between 1972 and 1974. It was a fun buggy- style car . Four-cylinder engines from Renault or Simca provided the drive .
