The Société Anversoise pour la Fabrication de Voitures Automobiles was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles from Berchem near Antwerp . The brand name was SAVA .

Company history

The company emerged in 1910 from the Société Anonyme Royal Star , which produced cars and motorcycles. In 1923, competitor Minerva took over the company.

Initially, Royal Star continued to produce the previous models. The range consisted of the four-cylinder models 11/12 CV with 1693 cm³ displacement , 17 CV with 3308 cm³ displacement, 20/22 CV with 3770 cm³ displacement, 23 CV with 4084 cm³ displacement and 25/35 CV with 4942 cm³ displacement, the six-cylinder models 29 CV with 6126 cm³ displacement and 37 CV with 7412 cm³ displacement as well as the single cylinder model 7 HP with 681 cm³ displacement, in which some parts came from De Dion-Bouton . In 1911 the 10/12 HP model was added, which had a four-cylinder Fondu engine with a displacement of 1693 cc. From 1912 until the outbreak of World War I , the range of models consisted of the above-mentioned 10/12 HP and the two larger four-cylinder models 14/16 HP with 2474 cm³ displacement and 18/24 HP with 2957 cm³ displacement.

In 1918 the new 20 CV model came on the market, which was produced until 1922. The last SAVA model was the 15 HP with a four-cylinder engine and 2001 cm³ displacement, which was produced from 1922 to 1923.
