The Société Anonyme des Ateliers Germain was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles and rail vehicles from Monceau-sur-Sambre . The brand name was Germain .

Company history

The company was founded in 1897. The production of automobiles began in 1898. Initially, vehicles were produced according to type and with the help of Daimler and Panhard & Levassor . Automobile production ended in 1914. Trams and standard gauge railcars continued to be produced. Even in 1954 and 1955 were to the Belgian Railways National Company a total of 20  railcars of the series 604/605 delivered.
