Company history
The Levallois-Perret company began producing automobiles in 1898. The brand name was Doré . Production ended around 1900.
vehicles
The first model had an electric motor that drove the front axle. These vehicles were often used as taxis .
In addition, a gasoline engine was created with two opposing cylinders (bore × stroke : 75 × 80 mm), air cooling, electrical ignition and 5 hp. Both cylinders shared a common inlet and outlet valve, the combustion chambers were connected like a bridge. It is unclear whether this petrol engine was installed in a Doré vehicle. In any case, it was used in vehicles from EF Shephard (also from Levallois) in 1900 .
