Automobiles Bardon was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Louis Bardon founded in 1899 in Puteaux , the company SA of Automobiles et Traction (Système Bardon) and began the production of automobiles. In 1901 it was renamed Automobiles Bardon . In 1903 the automobile manufacturer Georges Richard from Paris took over the company. This ended the production of Automobiles Bardon. In total, a few dozen vehicles were built.

Models

The first model 4/5 CV possessed as the vehicles of Gobron-Brillié a counter-piston - cylinder engine , which was placed in center of the vehicle below the floor boards and its performance from 5 PS gave to the rear wheels through a three-speed transmission and chain drive. With a wheelbase of 196 cm and a track width of 118 cm, the vehicle length was 285 cm and the vehicle width 144 cm.

In 1901, at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, Bardon presented two single-cylinder models with water-cooled engines producing 7 hp and 10 hp respectively.

In 1902 the 7/10 CV model with a two-cylinder engine and cardan drive was added. In addition, were trucks produced.

Three vehicles from this manufacturer survived. One can be seen in the Cité de l'Automobile in Mulhouse , another in the Shuttleworth Collection in Biggleswade, England .
