The Société des Automobiles Reyrol was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1901 to manufacture automobiles. The brand name was Reyrol . In 1907 the company moved to Levallois-Perret . Production ended in 1930. The company was active as a repair shop until the early 1950s.

The first models had a wooden chassis and small single - cylinder engines from Aster or De Dion-Bouton . In 1905 the models 4½ CV with an engine from De Dion-Bouton and 6 CV with an engine from Buchet with a displacement of 785 to 942 cc came out. In 1907 a four-cylinder model with a displacement of 2000 cc was added. From 1908 there were the models Passe-Partout 12/14 CV and 12/16 CV . From 1909 there were only four-cylinder models with displacements of 1500, 1700, 2100, 2300 and 2700 cm³.

After the First World War , valveless four-cylinder models with engines from Chapuis-Dornier with a displacement of up to 2100 cm³ were initially produced. In 1924 a model with a displacement of 2300 cm³ followed and in 1924 a small car with a displacement of 1200 cm³. From 1926 there was next to a model with 1500 cc displacement, the front-wheel drive model Passe-Partout , whose engine had a displacement of 1100 cc.
