Company history

The designer Vrard, who previously worked for Automobiles Léon Bollée and De Dion-Bouton , produced a prototype as early as 1904 and presented it at the Paris Motor Show . In 1907 he founded the Automobiles Stabilia company in Neuilly-sur-Seine for the production of automobiles. The brand name was Stabilia . In 1911 the name was changed to Giraldy et Vrard . Production now took place in Neuilly and Asnières-sur-Seine . In 1920 the company was renamed Vrard et Cie and restricted to the Asnières production site. Production ended in 1930.

vehicles

In 1904 only a prototype was created. In 1908 the first series model appeared with a four-cylinder engine and 2200 cm³ displacement . Stabilia used the Underslung design very early on , thereby reducing both the ground clearance and the vehicle's center of gravity . Between 1912 and 1914 there were models with 1500 cm³, 1700 cm³ and 2700 cm³ displacement.

The 14 CV model followed in 1920 with a displacement of 2800 cc and a four-speed gearbox. Between 1924 and 1926 Alto built-in engines with 1500 cc and 2000 cc displacement were used. From 1927 a small model was manufactured by Gobron under license. The last model in 1930 was equipped with an eight-cylinder in - line engine with a displacement of 1400 cm³.
