The SA des Anciens Établissements Secqueville-Hoyau was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Alfred Secqueville and Gaston Hoyau founded the company for the production of aircraft engines and propellers in Gennevilliers in 1911 . In 1919 automobile manufacture was added. The brand name was Secqueville-Hoyau . Porney was the designer. Production ended in 1923 and the last vehicles were sold in 1924. A total of around 500 vehicles were built.

The only model was the 10 CV . It was equipped with a four-cylinder engine with side valves and a displacement of 1244 cc . The transmission had four gears. A special feature was the electric starter. There was a choice of three wheelbases of 2386 mm, 2690 mm and 2893 mm as well as the body shapes of three-seater torpedo , four-seater touring car , sedan and coupé de ville . The new price was relatively high at 20,000 French francs , as comparable vehicles cost 13,500 to 15,000 francs.

A vehicle of this brand from 1920 can be seen in the Museu do Automóvel Fafe in Fafe . Another vehicle from 1922 still exists with British registration XL 595. It was auctioned in 1995 for £ 10,350 .
