Sénéchal was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The racing driver Robert Sénéchal (1892–1985) founded the company in Courbevoie in 1921 to produce automobiles. The brand name was Sénéchal . In 1925 the company was renamed Société Industrielle et Commerciale when Chenard & Walcker took over the company. Production ended in 1929.

Models

The company manufactured small, open, sporty two-seaters. In most cases, the drive was provided by a built-in motor from Ruby and in a few cases from Train and Chapuis-Dornier . The first model B 4 had a four-cylinder built-in engine from Ruby with a displacement of 900 cc . In 1922 this model was called the Sport , and the Grand Sport model appeared with a displacement of 975 cc. In 1923 the Sport model was discontinued, but a 1100 cm³ model was introduced. From 1925, engines from Chenard & Walcker were used. In 1927 the range consisted of the models SZ with 975 cm³ and 1500 Spéciale with 1500 cm³ displacement.
