Automobiles A. Jou was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Suresnes company started producing automobiles in 1913. The brand name was Jou . Automobile production ended in 1924. After that only spare parts were produced. In 1926 the company was dissolved.

There was only one model on offer, which was only slightly changed during the long construction period. A four-cylinder engine with side valves and 1540 cm³ displacement provided the drive . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The transmission had 3 gears. In 1920 electric lights and starters were introduced. The top speed was initially specified as 60 km / h, and most recently at 85 km / h.
