Société Dewald was a French manufacturer of automobiles and commercial vehicles .

Company history

The company was founded in Boulogne in 1896 . In 1902 the production of automobiles began. Automobile production ended in 1926. Commercial vehicles were built between 1904 or 1912 and 1931.

Automobiles

Until 1904, vehicles were only made to order. Between 1904 and 1912, six different models with four-cylinder engines were on offer. The most powerful model had a 7400 cc engine . From 1913 to 1914 there were four-cylinder models with 2100 cm³ and 3600 cm³ displacement and cardan drive as well as the KA model with 5300 cm³ displacement and chain drive.

In 1922, the CD model with an eight-cylinder in - line engine with a displacement of 4807 cm³ and OHC valve control was presented, but only very small numbers were produced until 1926.
