Aircraft production

The two brothers Maurice Farman and Henri Farman have been building aircraft at the Buc site since 1908 . In 1912, with their brother Richard, they founded the aircraft manufacturing company Farman Frères in Boulogne-Billancourt . There they first produced the characteristic biplanes with pressure propellers, which were mainly used for military purposes and training flights. In the course of the war, Farman also developed bombers . The “Goliath” passenger plane was derived from the prototype FF.60 and became a milestone in French and European civil aviation at the time.

In 1934, Farman merged with Blériot Aéronautique and ANF ​​Les Mureaux to form UCA, which, however, was merged into the state Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Center (SNCAC) in 1936 .

Automobile production

The first 12 CV model was only created in 1902. Cars were only manufactured again after the First World War . Large six-cylinder models were produced in small numbers between 1919 and 1931 . Two vehicles that have been preserved can be seen in the Cité de l'Automobile - Musée National - Collection Schlumpf in Mulhouse .
