H. Deckert et Compagnie was a French manufacturer of automobiles , bicycles and motorcycles .

Company history

Henri Deckert founded the company in Paris in 1901 and began producing automobiles, bicycles and motorcycles. The brand name of the cars was Deckert , that of the two-wheelers was Aurore . Production ended in 1906.

The 6 CV model had a single-cylinder engine with 6 hp . There were also the 12 CV and 16 CV models with a two-cylinder engine . The most powerful 20 CV model had a four-cylinder engine . The vehicles were also used in races.

A vehicle of this brand still exists. It is occasionally used in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run . Bonhams auctioned this car in 2011 for 66,400 pounds sterling .
