E. Hidien was a French manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Emile Hidien founded the company in Châtillon-sur-Indre in 1898 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Hidien . In 1900 and 1901 the company exhibited vehicles at the Paris Motor Show . Production ended in 1902. A total of around 20 vehicles were built.
In 1913, Emile Hidien took over the management of his father's company in Châteauroux , which manufactured agricultural implements.

In the first vehicles, the two-cylinder engine was mounted under the rear seat and powered the rear axle via a chain. Later models had a front engine, the radiator behind the engine, a three-speed gearbox and cardan drive .
